About the Show:
Started publishing a century ago, Le Jeunesse is the most important magazine ever published in the history of modern China. It has inspired numerous major revolutionaries and pioneers, exposed them to new thoughts and theories with two main principles – Science and Democracy. The Play Le Jeunesse features a conversation between two groups of youth from different ages, which brings us back to the days when Le Jeunesse was first published and went viral among the youth. Through their conversation, we can have a glimpse of what was in the mind of “le jeunesse” (the youth) of the special and tumultuous time in history, understand their view on and concerns about the individual’s responsibility and on society; and it is also from this trans-history conversation, we draw inspiration and spiritual strength for the present world.

She witnessed the historical moment; he was in a rush on his way to leave, thinking about Xiu Ying; her voice claimed the coming of a new age; his camera captured the precious moment in history; he salvaged a cat on the war-ravaged streets; his note penned down the passing of an old world…… The boom of the war was fading away, but the story has not yet met its ending.

The rill of white could – where the tree young men Qu Qiubai, Zhang Tailei and Yun Daiying met at the first place and where their dream took off. The flower fairies from the dream world have come to the real world! A group of roller skaters will perform skating dance, figure skating on land and extreme roller skating with incredible skills and all the while interacting with the audience with bouquets of flowers. It is a combination of roller skating performance and classic fairy tales. Written by the “master of one-act play” Ding Xilin with his trademark witty, simple and humorous language, Dear Husband the play is about the stories of several couples, each experiencing the complexity and subtlety of their marriage and relationship. Respectively named as Dear Husband, The Air of Beijing, After Drinking and One Eye Blinded, these four stories are all set in the same age, funny and full of twists. It provides an immersive experience of the theatre; and moreover, it promises much laugh.
