Lendlease’s plan to transform the southern site of the Queen Victoria Market has been approved by the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning. The project costs about $1.7 billion, including a 1.8-hectare public park. The restoration of the existing heritage Franklin Street Stores into a new retail village would complete the Queen Victoria Market offering. The project is expected to be completed in 2028.
